Vessel & system information
Bring together vessel identity, connected devices, data sources, and available marine information so you can understand the systems on board.
HELMBRAIN / BY TWO FISH OUTFITTERS
An iPad-first marine intelligence platform in development, built to work alongside your existing electronics and NMEA 2000 systems.
In active development. No release date has been announced.

01 / THE PRODUCT DIRECTION
HelmBrain brings marine information into a shared experience. Functionality depends on the connected equipment and its validated capabilities.
Bring together vessel identity, connected devices, data sources, and available marine information so you can understand the systems on board.
Make the source, freshness, and availability of data easier to understand. The development direction includes clearer diagnostics for connected systems.
Workflows under development include Fish On, fishing turns, returning to a fishing location, and repeat-pass guidance. Control functions require separate hardware and vessel qualification.
Bring trip records, position and heading information, and fishing events together. HelmBrain complements your chartplotter; it is not a replacement for certified navigation equipment or a proper watch.
02 / NMEA 2000 INTEGRATION
Start with your existing NMEA 2000 backbone—the network connecting compatible marine instruments and electronics. A supported NMEA 2000/IP gateway makes its data available through the onboard network to the iPad.
Actisense W2K-2 is the first supported/reference gateway in the development documentation. Direct onboard testing and vessel validation remain part of the work ahead.
HelmBrain’s vendor-neutral approach is a design philosophy, not a promise that every device works. Available features depend on the device, adapter, configuration, and validation evidence.
It complements your MFD, chartplotter, autopilot, and propulsion controls. Discovering a device does not authorize control of it.
03 / DEVELOPMENT STATUS
A runnable iPad application, a documented W2K-2 integration path, and development work on vessel information, trips, and fishing workflows.
Onboard networking and gateway behavior, physical-iPad usability, and device-specific control qualification.
A release date, general availability, or universal hardware compatibility. Product updates will describe what has actually been implemented and verified.
